Lucie Bryndova, OECD, Paris, France
Lucie Bryndová serves as policy researcher and advisor in the Health Division of the OECD. The OECD work on health aims at providing internationally comparable data on health systems and applying economic analysis to health policies, advising policy makers, stakeholders and citizens on how to respond to demands for more and better health care and make health systems more people centred. Lucie is particularly involved in the OECD Health Division activities covering the response to the COVID-19 crisis, measuring of health care outcomes, activities and inputs, health care quality policies, and assessing health system efficiency. A public economist by education, Lucie has almost 20 years of experience working in public sector in the Czech Republic and with international organisations, focusing specifically on health systems and health policies. During her carrier, Lucie held various positions at the Czech Ministries of Finance and of Health such as serving as chief advisor to the minister and as member of statutory health insurance funds’ supervisory boards, taught health economics at Charles University in Prague, and collaborated on international projects with the WHO Europe, the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, the World Bank, and the OECD.
